Junshiro Kobayashi surprisingly won the second competition at the FIS Grand Prix in Almaty, Kazakhstan. With jumps on 133.5 m and 134 m, the Japanese came in ahead of Stefan Kraft and his teammate Kento Sakuyama. It was the first win in the Grand Prix for Kobayashi.

Sara Takanashi won the FIS Ladies' Grand Prix in Almaty. With jumps on 97.5 m and 99 m and a total of 246.8 points, the Japense took her fourth win in the fourth competition this season and, at the same time, secured the Grand Prix overall title for the fourth time in a row.

Stefan Kraft took the win in the first competition at the FIS Grand Prix in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The 4-Hills-Tournament winner showed jumps on 125 m and 130 m for a total of 307.6 points and won clearly ahead of Robert Kranjec and Ilmir Hazetdinov. It was his first ever win in the Grand Prix.
