This news came as a blow at the FIS fall meetings in Zurich (SUI). The already completed calendar for the 2016/17 World Cup winter has to be changed only about two months before the start of the season.

After two years in the making, now it’s official! FIS freestyle skiing competition is coming to Québec City, with big air and slopestyle World Cup events now added to the lineup for the Jamboree presented by Vidéotron Mobile from February 9–12, 2017.

This week, the first official Coordination Group meeting was successfully staged in Cortina d’Ampezzo (ITA), site of the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.

One of the well-known faces on the men’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup tour, Robert Brunner (ITA) has passed away at the age of 64.

Let the show begin! After a long wait the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships are returning to Oberstdorf (GER) in 2021 and the Organising Committee, together with the German Ski Association made a critical first step this week as they hosted the first FIS Coordination Group Kick-Off meeting on 5th – 6th September.

The FIS Development Programme Nordic Summer Training Camp is taking place this week with the first two Camps in Val di Fiemme (ITA) and Stams (AUT).

The media accreditation for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti 2017 is now open. The deadline for accreditation requests is the 15th of December, 2016.
