




Some exceptional Alpine athletes retired following the Olympic season. FIS thanks them all for the wonderful moments and emotions they provided in the FIS World Cup and World Championships.


The strongest Russian Nordic Combined athlete, Ernest Yahin, has been a World Cup starter for six years. But this season, he has found a confidence on the hill and showed that he could fight and beat rivals and really filled out his role as leader of the Russian team. Anastasia Shuhova spoke to the Russian number one for TUESDAY TALK.

The final FIS moguls competitions of the 2017/18 calendar came and went this weekend at Sweden’s Duved resort, where the moguls and dual moguls Junior World Championships competitions were held on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Like every year, the provisional competition calendars for the upcoming summer and winter season were announced at the FIS Sub Committee meetings in Zurich (SUI).


It’s the end of an era in Cross Country Skiing and the entire winter sports world. Marit Bjoergen (NOR), the most decorated Winter Olympian with 15 medals, announced her retirement last weekend.
