The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) today agreed on the event programme and athlete quotas for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

The International Olympic Committee’s Executive Board met on Monday, 8th June, and announced that the Alpine Team Event and Snowboard Big Air will join the programme for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang (KOR).

It is June, which means it’s time to get outside and be active. The IOC is once again celebrating Olympic Day on 23rd June, the date that the modern Olympic Games were revived in 1894.

Since the beginning of May, FIS professionals in each discipline and FIS IT staff have met with IOC experts in Montreux (SUI) to discuss the Olympic Results & Information Services (ORIS) for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

The PyeongChang 2018 Organising Committee (POCOG) marked 1,000 days until the 2018 Olympic Winter Games by unveiling its Games slogan – “Passion. Connected.” – at a special event in Seoul.

Yesterday, it was announced that FIS won the inaugural SportBusiness Ultimate Sports Federation Award in the category of Legacy & Environment.

This year’s SportAccord Convention will get underway on 19th April in Sochi (RUS) under the theme of ‘Legacy’.

The World Anti-Doping Agency recently announced an Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS) User and Testing Group which has been established to engage and reflect the views of ADO, laboratory and athlete users.
