Marit Bjoergen of Norway has won everything in cross-country skiing except the Tour de Ski. She got off to a great start today in the first stage of the 9th FIS Tour de Ski presented by Craft Sportswear winning the opening prologue.

Anders Jacobsen won the New Year's competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the second time and so the fight for the overall title at this 4-Hills-Tournament is completely open again. 

While Austria took a double win in the opening event of the 4-Hills-Tournament, thanks to Stefan Kraft and Michael Hayboeck, the German fans and Simon Ammann lost all the hopes for an overall win.

Those who want to contest in the Jizerská 50 race in two weeks time should hurry up. There are just 250 starting numbers left for the main race with the advantageous online registration expiring on Wednesday 31st December. 

Kühtai in Tirol, Austria – The World Cup tour has stopped in Kühtai in Tirol this week for the first time in history after the Semmering races were cancelled due to the lack of snow and relocated in one of the highest ski resorts in Europe.
