The 64th 4-Hills-Tournament kicks off Tuesday evening in Oberstdorf and despite the mild temperatures recently, the facilities at all four locations are ready for this big event.

Due to lack of snow and unusually warm temperatures, the ladies' and men's Audi FIS Ski World Cup slaloms scheduled in Zagreb (CRO) on 3rd & 6th January 2016 are cancelled.

Watles, ITA - Persistent warm temperatures and an almost complete lack of snow base has forced the cancellation of what would have been the first event of the 2016 calendar year, as officials have been forced to nix the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup Watles (ITA).

Due to abnormally warm temperatures and the lack of snow, the World Cup downhill and super-G races scheduled for 9th and 10th January have unfortunately been cancelled, despite enormous efforts from the St. Anton mountain management and the organising committee.

Despite warm and unfavorable weather conditions in Germany, FIS, DSV and the LOC of Oberstdorf are happy to announce that, with some changes, two FIS Tour de Ski stages are going to take place in Oberstdorf, GER.

The second period of the FIS Development Programme Alpine Training Camp from 22ndNovember – 19th December 2015 concluded successfully with the participation of 21 athletes from 14 nations

FIS was saddened to learn about the passing of its long-serving Nordic Combined Technical Delegate Kai Arne Ringen (NOR) who died on 21st December at the age of 75, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.

In just 10 days the Viessmann FIS Tour de Ski performance by Craft Sportswear gets under way already for the 10th time.

What some feared already became sad reality this morning. Snow Controller Rudi Tusch had to cancel the Nordic Combined World Cup events in Klingenthal which were set for the second and third of January 2016 due to lack of snow.

At the beginning of the World Cup, in 1967, there was only Downhill, Giant Slalom and Slalom.
