Highest prize money at WSC in ski jumping

Besides medals and prestige the athletes can also win a good amount of prize money in Falun. A total of CHF 870 600,- is awarded in the three disciplines, ski jumping, cross country skiing and nordic combined.

The FIS Development Programme Nordic Winter Training Camp 2015 for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined was successfully held in Val di Fiemme (ITA) from 11th to 18th January 2015.
Study groups visit Falun 2015

Members of the Lahti 2017 and Seefeld 2019 Organising Committees, the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Organising Committee as well as numerous representatives from FIS Nordic World Cup Organisers are currently visiting Falun (SWE) during the 2015 Championships to view the installations and to develop an understanding of the infrastructure, organisation and quality necessary to deliver such a large event.
Stacked halfpipe competition to kick off big week in Park City

The biggest week of the 2014/15 FIS Freestyle season gets started with halfpipe competition coming from Utah's Park City resort, with qualifiers taking place on Wednesday followed by finals on Friday.
FIS Alpine Snowboard World Cup tour returns to Japan with back-to-back races

Asahikawa, a World Cup host back in 1999 and 2001, will host two races for the alpine snowboarders. Besides the season's final parallel giant slalom also the third parallel slalom will take place on February 28th and March 1st. Both events will be organised in the single run format.
Oberstdorf wants to host WSC 2021

World Cup returns to Saalbach

World Cup action returns to Östersund after 20 years - New Inside the Fence

Until last weekend's competitions in Östersund, Sweden the city had not hosted an FIS Cross-Country World Cup since 1995. The World Cup returned with a classic sprint and a 10/15 km individual start free technique competition.
