The 31^st of July 2018 marks the third anniversary of Beijing winning the bid for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games. 

The much anticipated Esports Forum hosted by the IOC and GAISF, the Global Association of International Sports Federations, took place on 21^st July at the Olympic Museum.

Today the IOC Executive Board meeting in Lausanne (SUI) has announced that seven new competitions will join the Winter Olympic programme for Beijing 2022, five of which are in the FIS disciplines.

The IOC Olympic Programme Commission met in Lausanne on Tuesday 26^thand Wednesday, 27^thJune with main items on the agenda, an overall analysis from the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games and proposals for Beijing 2022 programme.  

The field of hopeful cities to host the 2026 Olympic Winter Games was reduced from seven to six last weekend after local voters in the Canton of Wallis (SUI) voted no in a referendum against releasing funding of CHF100 million for Sion to bid to host the Games.

On the 23^rd June 2018, the message of Olympism will be amplified across the globe with the celebration of Olympic Day.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) released the initial components of an Athlete Charter to address and protect the fundamental rights and responsibilities of athletes around the world.

The International Olympic Committee hosted the official Debriefing from PyeongChang the 2018 Olympic Winter Games during a week of meetings in the Chinese capital to help the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games Organisers learn as much as they could from PyeongChang 2018 counterparts.

FIS President Gian Franco Kasper attended the IOC Executive Board Meeting in Lausanne (SUI) last week on 2^nd and 3^rd May in his capacity as the representative of the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF).
