Maren Lundby comes from behind to win in Lillehammer

Maren Lundby of Norway won the FIS Ladies' World Cup in Lillehammer (NOR) with jumps of 125.5 m and 138 m (271.7 points) ahead of Katharina Althaus (GER / 267.7 points) and Eva Pinkelnig (AUT / 255.9 points).

After a pair of thrilling races in Feldberg (GER) wrapped up on Sunday, it was a quick pack of the bags and back up in the sky for the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup tour as athletes, coaches, and crew made their way to Sunny Valley in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region where four days of competition are lined up for this week, with qualifications on Thursday and Friday, and back-to-back days of finals on Saturday and Sunday.

Kamil Stoch won the World Cup competition in Lahti (FIN) on Sunday evening. The Polish superstar proved his top shape and came in 17.2 points ahead of second-placed Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi.
Sara Takanashi ends Lundby's winning streak

Course workers and slip crews were busy to getting the ladies' racetrack ready following overnight snowfall for the downhill race which ultimately had to be run from the second reserve start due to weather on the upper mountain. Still, it proved to be a memorable day for all in attendance.
