The FIS Nordic Combined Continental Cup series has again been marked by exciting competitions and a high level of organisation throughout the 2012/13 season.

“After the season is before the season,”. Under this motto, this week saw a specific TV seminar for Cross-Country Skiing held at the Hotel Hilton Zurich Airport on Monday, 22nd April, followed by the overall TV Briefing on Tuesday 23rd April, where all FIS disciplines had a chance to review the past season together with the main European broadcasters and TV rights holders.

The Tour de Ski 2012/13 evaluation meeting in Munich (GER) on 11th April saw almost 30 representatives of the Organising Committees, Infront Italy and FIS Marketing AG, as well as FIS conduct a debrief on the seventh edition of the Viessmann FIS Tour de Ski performance by Craft Sportswear.

On 13th and 14th April, during the Zurich (SUI) spring meetings, gatherings of the Nordic Combined Sub-Committee for Officials, Rules and Control, as well as of the Nordic Combined Executive Board took place where new proposals, calendars and the general strategy for Nordic Combined were discussed.

The spring meetings of the various Ski Jumping Sub-Committees were held in Zurich (SUI) on 12th and 13th April.

After Schladming 2013 is before Vail-Beaver Creek 2015. With less than two years to go, the traditional debrief by the Schladming 2013 Organisers for the benefit of the upcoming Organisers in Vail-Beaver Creek and St. Moritz 2017 (SUI) has taken place in Vail (USA), on 10th and 11th April. 

The final World Snow Day report will be published in one week and confirm that over 430’000 participants were part of the celebrations on 20th January 2013.

After a long and emotional discussion, the FIS Ski Jumping Sub-Committee has decided to carry out competitions with only three instead of the usual five jumping judges for the first time.

More than 6’500 events across 49 different nations and on five continents, the FIS competition season 2012/13 has almost reached its conclusion.

On 9th April, Swiss-Ski presented prizes to the top three winners of the Swiss-Ski 2013 World Snow Day Award during a small reception at the FIS headquarters in Oberhofen (SUI).
